In the remote regions of Tegucigalpa, Honduras it is too economically and geographically challenging for most children to attend school. Yet, that doesn’t stop school from traveling to their doorstep through Asociación Compartir and JustWorld International’s "Education On Wheels” program.

Education on Wheels provides books, classroom materials, lessons, tutoring, music and cultural arts programs to the most vulnerable populations. Children are also provided with clean water and nutritious snacks.

CNN Hero Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes has a vision for the children of his community, which includes a future free from the violence, drugs and poverty which pervades Jocotenango, Guatemala. When Romero Fuentes was just 23-years-old, he converted the garage of his family home into a school with the help of a few volunteers.

In 2008, he met JustWorld International Founder Jessica Newman alongside Guatemalan Olympic Show Jumper Juan Andres Rodriguez.

In Phnom Pehn, Cambodia children scavenge the municipal garbage site for pennies a day in an effort to support their families. The work is dangerous, and many of these children live in dwellings at the dumpsite without access to electricity or sanitation. To combat the cycle keeping these families impoverished, Phymean Noun founded People Improvement Organization (PIO). JustWorld International partnered with PIO in 2004, funding the operational costs of a Kindergarten-12 school.
